Terms and Conditions – Extra Clean & Care Services

1. Booking and Quotes

All quotations are provided based on information supplied by the customer. Final pricing may be adjusted if the actual condition or size of the property differs significantly from that described.

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Extra Clean & Care Services. Additional charges may apply if the property’s condition, size, or requirements differ from those initially described.

2. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

We accept:

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash

  • Other agreed payment methods

Commercial clients and Airbnb hosts may be offered invoicing arrangements.

3. Cancellations

Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice.

The following charges may apply:

  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% of the service cost

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or no access provided: 100% of the service cost

4. Access to Property

Customers must ensure that our team has safe and timely access to the property.

Where keys or access codes are provided, they will be kept confidential and used solely for the agreed service.

If our team cannot gain access at the agreed time, a call-out fee may apply.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Securing valuables and important documents

  • Informing us of fragile or high-value items

  • Ensuring pets are controlled and do not pose a risk to staff

  • Providing information about any hazards within the property

6. Satisfaction Guarantee

Customer satisfaction is important to us.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 24 hours of the cleaning appointment so that we can review and resolve the issue where appropriate.

7. Damage and Liability

Extra Clean & Care Services is fully insured.

Any accidental damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improperly installed fixtures or fittings

  • Undisclosed fragile or valuable items

Our liability is limited to direct losses resulting from proven negligence.

8. Health and Safety

Our staff reserve the right to refuse or discontinue work where conditions are unsafe, including:

  • Hazardous materials

  • Aggressive animals

  • Structural dangers

  • Illegal activities

Additional specialist cleaning services may be required for biohazards or extreme conditions.

9. Hygiene & Cleaning Standards Policy

At Extra Clean & Care Services Ltd, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention for every client.

Cross-Contamination Prevention

To protect the health and wellbeing of our customers, we operate strict cross-contamination procedures.

For regular cleaning clients, we provide and use dedicated cleaning materials for your home, including:

  • Fresh, high-quality microfibre cleaning cloths

  • Dedicated mop heads assigned to your property

  • Colour-coded cleaning equipment where appropriate

  • Professional cleaning products and tools maintained to our hygiene standards

These measures help minimise the risk of transferring dirt, bacteria, or contaminants between properties and ensure a safe and hygienic cleaning service for every customer.

10. Initial Deep Clean Requirement for Regular Services

To maintain our high standards, all new customers requesting weekly, fortnightly, or monthly maintenance cleaning services may be required to book an initial deep clean before commencing a regular cleaning schedule.

The purpose of the initial deep clean is to:

  • Bring the property up to our maintenance standard

  • Address areas requiring additional attention or built-up dirt

  • Enable future regular cleans to be carried out efficiently and consistently

  • Ensure that ongoing maintenance visits deliver the highest possible results

Following the deep clean, customers may choose a regular cleaning plan tailored to their needs.

Exceptions may be made where the property is already maintained to a suitable standard, at the discretion of Extra Clean & Care Services Ltd.

11. Pets and Animals Policy

Our Commitment to Pet-Friendly Cleaning

At Extra Clean & Care Services Ltd, we understand that pets are valued members of the family, and we are happy to provide cleaning services in homes with animals wherever it is safe to do so.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, their pets, and our team members, the following policy applies.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must inform us in advance if pets or other animals are kept at the property, including any animals that may be nervous, protective, or require special consideration.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Aggressive or unpredictable animals are secured in a separate area before our team arrives.

  • Pets do not interfere with cleaning activities or create unsafe working conditions.

  • Appropriate arrangements are made for animals that may become distressed by strangers, equipment, or cleaning products.

Health and Safety

The safety of our staff is a priority. Our cleaners reserve the right to pause or refuse services if:

  • An animal displays aggressive or threatening behaviour.

  • The working environment is deemed unsafe.

  • There is a risk of injury to staff, customers, or the animal itself.

Where services cannot be completed due to unsafe conditions, cancellation or call-out charges may apply in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Cleaning Around Pets

Our team takes reasonable care when working in homes with animals by:

  • Keeping doors and gates securely closed where instructed

  • Avoiding the use of products directly around food bowls, bedding, or pet belongings unless specifically requested.

  • Following any agreed instructions provided by the customer regarding their pets.

However, customers remain responsible for the supervision, safety, and wellbeing of their animals at all times.

Pet Hair and Additional Cleaning Requirements

Properties with excessive pet hair, odours, or pet-related cleaning requirements may require additional time or specialist services. Any additional charges will be discussed and agreed with the customer before work begins.

Animal Welfare

Extra Clean & Care Services Ltd is committed to treating all animals with care and respect. Our staff will not handle, feed, walk, administer medication to, or take responsibility for pets unless expressly agreed in writing.

12. Pricing Policy

One-off, deep cleans and end-of-tenancy cleans are charged per clean, not per hour.

Every property is different, so our prices are based on the size of the home, its condition, and the level of work required rather than the time it takes to complete the job.

This approach benefits our customers because:

  • No rushing: Our team focuses on delivering exceptional results rather than working against the clock.

  • Transparent pricing: You receive a fixed quote upfront with no unexpected hourly charges.

  • Fair and accurate costs: Homes vary in their cleaning needs, and charging per clean ensures you only pay for the service required.

  • You pay for results, not time: Our experienced cleaners work efficiently without compromising on quality, giving you the best value for money.

13. Privacy

Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection laws.

14. Changes to Terms

Extra Clean & Care Services reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website.
